SyNergy offers travel grants to support participation in scientific meetings and collaborations with external laboratories. These grants are specifically intended to support SyNergy members and scientists who identify as belonging to an underrepresented minority in science. The funding aims to enable participation in opportunities that may otherwise be difficult to access.

A poster or oral presentation is a prerequisite for conference attendance support.

Funding

• Up to €1,000 for intercontinental travel
• Up to €500 for travel within Europe

Eligibility

The program is intended for applications from SyNergy members and scientists directly employed by SyNergy members who identify as belonging to underrepresented groups in science.

Diversity is understood broadly as the variety of experiences and perspectives arising from differences in race, culture, religion, mental or physical attributes, heritage, age, gender, sexual orientation, and other characteristics.
