Research Data Management
The SyNergy Research Data Management (SyNergyRDM) portal aims to facilitate easy and standardized access to research data generated across the cluster, in order to enhance research efficiency, promote transparency, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration within and beyond the SyNergy network.
SyNergyRDM provides access to published and unpublished research data through the following platforms, which can be accessed using the links below:
- FAIRDOM-SEEK, for omics data and metadata
- menoci, for cataloguing resources such as mouse lines, antibodies and publications.
- An index of open GitHub repositories linked to SyNergy projects
Our platform follows the GO-FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) principles for scientific data management and stewardship, which are implemented via the three-point FAIRification Framework.
This portal is hosted at the Leibniz Supercomputing Center (LRZ), supported by the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
Data & Resource Sharing
SyNergy encourages open and responsible data sharing within the network, while ensuring transparency and coordination between research groups.
To request access to data, protocols, or biological resources (such as mouse lines or antibodies) listed on our FAIRDOM-SEEK or Menoci platforms, please use the form linked below.
Support offers for SyNergy members
As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen good scientific practice and integrate FAIR data management within the cluster, the following support offers are available for SyNergy members:
Introduction to RDM (as part of the onboarding process for new group members):
This introductory talk will be offered approx. every two months and will cover best practices for data handling, introduce FAIR principles, and highlight relevant tools and institutional resources available to support data management throughout the research process.
Please check our events section for more information on upcoming sessions and how to sign up. You can also suggest specific topics for potential talks and discussions by sending an email to the data manager.
RDM audits for PhD students, prior to their first TAC meeting:
This informal meeting with the SyNergy data manager will offer constructive feedback on data planning and organization, such as folder structures, file naming conventions, backup strategies, and the use of appropriate metadata standards.
Please send a brief email to the data manager to book an appointment.
We’d love to hear from you!
