The Wübben Foundation Student Grant enables students to focus entirely on their studies during their final year of either their bachelor’s or master’s degree – they will receive 1,000 EUR monthly for a year. “We nominated Elba and Stella because both have been consistently outstanding students – and also show a strong interest in research topics related to systems neurology,” says Thomas Misgeld, Spokesperson of SyNergy and Director of the Institute of Neuronal Cell Biology. “We are grateful for the support that the Wübben Foundation provides to talented students.” Elba and Stella herself are also thankful for the support as the Student Grant allows them to dedicate their full energy to their research projects this year and invest in learning opportunities that will enrich their paths as a future neuroscientist. Being selected is an encouraging reminder to stay curious, think unconventionally, and keep pushing the boundaries of science.

About the Wübben Foundation Student Grant

The grants provide students with the chance to focus completely on their studies during the final year of their bachelor’s or master’s degree. Successful candidates will receive a monthly grant of 1,000 EUR for one year. This program is designed for exceptionally curious and talented students from all fields of study who are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a German university and have two semesters of coursework remaining.
